Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee
Harassment Committee at S.U.S. Govt. College was structured as per rules of
Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal),
Act 2013. Maintenance of discipline within the premises of the Institution is
of utmost importance to foster a healthy environment of knowledge cultivation,
individual growth and well being of all students. The college has a code of
conduct and some general advisories on maintaining discipline within the
college premise are:--
Students must wear and display visibly their Identity Cards during college
hours inside the campus. In case of loss of Identity Card, a duplicate can be
obtained only with the permission of the Principal/Vice-Principal.
Students are expected to treat the members of the staff and their fellow
students with courtesy both in and out of the college. There must be no
disorderly or offensive conduct at any time.
Students must be in their classes and take their seats at the beginning of each
period. They must not enter or leave the class room without permission.
College property, furniture, library books, etc. must be treated with due care.
Rules for the conduct of examinations placed on the Notice Board must be
Smoking, chewing tobacco products, consumption of alcohol or spurious liquor,
playing cards, spitting and loitering are strictly prohibited inside the
of Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee:-
functions of the Committee are to look into the complaints lodged by any
student, and to give judgement. The committee is also empowered to look into
matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the committee
members in person. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self,
grievances may be sent in writing. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail
to the officer in-charge of the Committee or Principal. The objective of the commitee
is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the students in
order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute.
